Dr. Jennifer Roelands is a board eligible obstetrician and gynecologist with a special interest in minimally invasive surgery, adolescent gynecology, and high risk obstetrics especially multiples. She has had twins herself. She specializes in robotics using the Da Vinci surgical system and laparoscopic surgery. She teaches other surgeons around the country how to use the robot for surgery and is currently the only surgeon using the robot for benign gyn at Boone Hospital.
Dr. Roelands graduated from the University of California at San Diego's Medical School, and completed her residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. While at Duke, she published three papers about smoking cessation in pregnancy.
Dr. Roelands grew up in California and traveled the world prior to going to medical school. She spent an entire year in the rainforest in Central America. She has been married for four years and has four children including a set of twins. She enjoys hiking, camping, and has a special passion for photography.
Dr. Roelands sees patients in Suite 100 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday morning. Wednesday morning is dedicated to surgery.
