Menopause  is the permanent end of menstruation and fertility, defined as occurring 12 months after your last menstrual period. It is a natural biological process, not a medical illness. Common symptoms of menopause include: hot flashes, vaginal dryness, decreased libido, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and feeling depressed.

It is important that if you are having symptoms that are affecting your life, there are many treatments options available, from lifestyle adjustments to hormone therapy.
Not everyone needs hormone replacement therapy, only those women who have symptoms interfering with their lives.

Every physician at WHA is trained in managing menopause. There are traditional western therapies as well as several alternative options. We do have a specialist available here, Dr. William Trumbower who has over 30 years of experience in alternative medicine. He works with all the physicians in this group to provide alternative treatments to those women who seek that therapy.
